Frequently Asked Questions
Find clear answers to general questions about our consultation process, legal areas, retainer terms, and appointment scheduling in Lahore.
Consultations
How do I request an initial legal consultation with Muhammad Sajjad?
You can request an initial legal consultation by completing our online consultation request form or by calling our office directly at +92 300 4245173. Please provide a concise summary of your legal matter and your preferred contact method. Our office will review the enquiry to confirm availability, identify any potential conflicts of interest, and coordinate an appointment time.
What documents should I prepare for our initial legal consultation?
To make the consultation as productive as possible, please assemble relevant written instruments, agreements, correspondence, notices, or court pleadings relating to your matter. For property matters, please have copies of sale deeds, title chains, or revenue mutations available. Please note that submitting an enquiry online does not require sending confidential case files until an appointment is arranged.
Legal Representation
Does submitting a consultation request create an advocate-client relationship?
No. Submitting an online consultation request or transmitting initial enquiry details does not establish an advocate-client relationship. A formal professional engagement commences only after an initial consultation has occurred, conflicts of interest have been verified, and both parties have signed a written engagement and power of attorney (Vakalatnama).
Can you assist clients residing outside Lahore or overseas Pakistanis?
Yes. We frequently advise commercial enterprises across Pakistan as well as overseas Pakistanis who own real estate or conduct business in Punjab. Consultations can be conducted via scheduled telephone or secure video conference, with legal document drafting and court representation carried out through a properly registered Special Power of Attorney.
Practice Areas
What areas of law does Sajjad Law Firm handle?
Our core practice areas are corporate litigation, civil law and compliance, transfer of property law and title due diligence, drafting of commercial contracts, deeds and instruments, tenancy law and dispute settlement under the Punjab Rented Premises Act, criminal law compliance (such as Section 489-F PPC and bail), family law and enforcement, and direct/indirect tax compliance.
Fees & Retainers
How are legal fees and retainer arrangements structured?
Legal fees depend on the nature, complexity, and scope of the matter. For advisory work and contract drafting, matters are typically handled on a fixed, transparent fee structure. For ongoing corporate counsel or court litigation, fees may be structured as a retainer or stage-based representation schedule agreed upon in advance.
